Opening presents??

Does anyone else get anxious when opening gifts in front of people? like at christmas or on your birthday

Also when someone is opening a gift that you have given them?

I always worry that their going to think i dont like it or think im ungrateful because i dont jump up and down with excitement. I never know what to say and it always comes out like im ungreatful.

And i haate watching someone open a present ive given them, what if they dont like it? what if they think 'wtf did they give me this for? this sucks'

I'm the same exact way though I'd rather open a pressent than give one b/c my anxiety is extreamly bad when I give pressents b/c I think they'll think I have no tastes, give them something bad, or worst of all give them something that will ofend them like getting them something a size to big.

I will be alot when someone is opening up something that I gave them, a lot less the other way around. I mean I'll be nervous that they don't like it or something, but what can I say I loove gifts in general. I don't care what it is. Unfortunatley I hardly ever get them ):

Yes, alot, to add to this topic, does anyone have trouble saying "Happy Birthday" or "Happy Mothers Day" etc. on special days, I have heaps of trouble doing this, because im scared they will think i dont mean it, or they will think it was forced

Yes i think it will sound fake. I can't get the voice tone right.

and you know how it always is, you have everybody throwing sarcastic ..witty remarks at you while your opening the gifts, so you don't know what to say first ...

i cant stand those moments ...

Then you have to also put on your "cheery" act with everyone, beause lets face it if you dont like a gift you cant be honest about it, nobody ever is beccause it hurts peoples feelings ...

Then you have to blow out the candles and make a speach, its forced upon you so you have to somehow come across as sincere ..

Oh goodness, yes, I hate opening gifts in front of people! Being the centre of attention like that, it makes me so nervous that I can't respond appropriately. Everyone must think I'm completely unexcited and ungrateful. And then of course I feel anxious about that, too...
