  • I completely understand how you feel as I have felt the same. There is no doubt that having HH in the face, head & neck area is horribly embarrassing when you have a major episode in public and there is nothing you can do to hide it or stop it. So all we can do is experiment with different treatments to find what works best. Everyone is different in how they react to these medications and in their results. I have also heard that Klima & Drisol have been shown to be very effective for many on this site. Just don't give up!
I was very excited to hear about the Avert capsules from pharmacy.ca. They have however refused to sell them to me as I disclosed that I was taking medication for high blood pressure. I tried a type of wipe ("Sweat Block" ) and while it was effective on my forehead it seemed to cause my scalp to sweat more than it ever had before. I am just so tired of this. I'm 56 and it just seems to be getting worse. All I want to do at this point is to do is lay on the couch in my very chilled home and avoid life.
Hi Ricky and welcome to the forum. You are correct...1 out of 100 people have hyperhidrosis so you are definitely not alone. I have the same HH as you called craniofacial hyperhidrosis (head face & neck). I remember having this condition when I was 12 years old. I am currently 45 and for me it has gotten progressively worse the older I got. The best treatment that I have found yet is glycopyrrolate. It is the active medication in Advert Pills and in the Secure Topical Wipes. I apply the wipes to my entire face and neck in the morning after showering and take a 1mg Advert pill on an empty stomach as recommended. This has been a MAJOR help for me!

Note that you can order Advert and the Secure Wipes online from Canada at pharmacy.ca without a doctors prescription.

Let me know if you want to discuss this further. We are all here to help! :)
