Is anyone taking BuSpar for anxiety?

Right now, I'm on 125mg of Zoloft and 2mg of Klonopin. The Klonopin is working wonderfully, but the Zoloft really has no effect. My pdoc was thinking about replacing the Zoloft with Buspar. Is anyone on Buspar? How does it work? Do you still have a benzo as a PRN? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I've taken Buspar alone, and with Wellbutrin. It's worth a try. Ask your doctor about it because it's generally low on side effects and inexpensive. It's also fairly low on contradictions.

None of these prescription poisonous drugs are worth your life....

They are all ineffective and if they "seem" to work its only removing the symptoms instead of the root cause of the problem.

As with any drugs (even supplements/herbs/etc.), you should proceed with caution. Some people really benefit from then, so if it's something they need to make it through life, it's their choice.

I had a bad reaction to Buspar, so I was put on Prozac and Klonopin instead.

Arghhhhh... Lazarus thread... but I suppose the information can still be useful to others.

better be careful with that klonopin, its fun when you are on it , but might actually be a very bad decision, the worst ever actually

I have used Buspar within the past year and it worked for a little while then crapped out. Lexapro worked like a charm but the side effects were not tolerable for me.

Look up and research PHENIBUT, sold by Liftmode. Amazing stuff if you can tolerate it for longer periods of time. Even if you use it once or twice a week it just knocks out the anxiety out of me. You'll read both horror stories and successful stories.

I've been using it in different dosages on different schedules for the past 3 years. I'll be going on 2 months of taking it everyday and maintaining tolerance. Those of of you with addictive personalities should probably stay clear of this.

I've also tried MANY herbal concoctions. Low dose Klonopin .25 -.5 also works well for me. Keep in mind what one person's poison is another person's salvation. Everyone's body is unique and reacts differently to medications and herbal supplements. Either or can be dangerous.
