How do you meet people?

I don't mean this in the sense of going to clubs, events, that sort of thing. I mean, if there is someone you want to talk to at the cafeteria, school, or whatever, how do you actually go about approaching them, introducing yourself, etc? To me, this seems to be one of the most basic obstacles to having some sort of social life.

I usually don’t. Unless someone talks to me first, I’ll usually pretend not to know they exist, and it’ll go on that way until they say something to me.

Any friends I’ve ever made have been through other friends, where the tracks are already laid and I don’t have to go out of my way to introduce myself.

I don't. I never introduced me to some one. Only in class because I had to. I also never approached some one, .. Everyone I know, came to me,lol.::
