I haven't told anyone-no one at all about my SA yet...I'm worried about how they'll take it and what they'll think of me...do you think I should tell someone or keep it to myself? how did you tell people about hving SA?

i personally dont feel someone with sa should have to tell anyone that they have it unless its something you want pple to know about you. otherwise why risk it? they will probably figure it out by themselves and hopefully just accept you the way you are.

You should only tell someone if you feel you need or want to, or if you feel telling the person would make them understand you or your situation better. The first person I ever told was my best friend (at the time anyway, from first grade on. I also old my mom. Other than that, the only people who know are my therapist, psychiatrist & others I've been receiving help from.

There's no need to tell someone you have SA. You might feel like you're keeping a secret or something by not telling, but, unless you feel it's in your best interest, you don't have to do it. Especially if telling could make things even harder.

I told one of my good mates after I had my first session at a counsellor. People are a lot more understanding than you think, my mate definatly was.

I just tell people I suffer anxiety or depression, most people can understand that
