Is this sa or is this normal for everyone?

Hello i am in my 30s and had sa all my life..started with selective mutism as a child...anyways..i am doing work at home as a phone instructor.. which requires me to teach to teenage students over the phone..the problem is i still have anxiety even with talking to these kids like my armpits sweating and my heart pounding before calling etc..today one student flat out questioned me and chuckled when he did not understand what he was doing...immediately i felt so self conscious and felt nervous..is this a normal reaction or is it bc of my sa?

You want to know how I got these scars?
Phone conversations can be quite awkward. You can't see the other persons body language, mannerisms etc. So as sufferers of SA, we tend to go to our 'default' position of thinking awkward things.
The chuckling by the student could be nervousness on his part, many people tend to laugh because they feel silly.
I used to have problems over the phone too, but one day I experimented and talked like I was some sort of professional. And... it worked.

Now I just pretend when talking over the phone that I'm confident. ;)

I do a similar thing, I try and slip into professional mode and usually Im able to get by in phone calls, they still stress me out but Im able to get them done generally speaking.
