Social skills

I know we are not a brunch virtues in the social field but I think it would be worthy to mentioned what are these skills that you have learnt or have developed in a natural way and that help you in your social interactions.

I'm good as hell listening to people, looking at them in the eyes and asking questions about themselves. People love talking about themselves.
I also try to put a smile to anyone, even when the most I feel like to do is crying.

I have good business skills when I'm not terrified, apparently. I know how to catch eyes and advertise a product.

I pósted it in the wrong forum. Sorry.
I have just realized.

Don't worry about it... a staff member can move it if they feel it's needed.

"people love talking about themselves"

this is painfully true...i find myself a pretty good read when it comes to people and its a major turnoff for me if a person tends to ramble on and on about themselves without even asking you how your day went..

as far as social skills go, do you want to learn them or what?for me, it took my high school years and a little beyond to learn some quality social skills..this was by listening and observing other social people and conversations..

still though, i would consider myself to have good social skills but to me, 95% of the time when i socialize it STILL feels like im putting on an act, like im playing a role.. i have never been able to get over that aspect..

But that is what its all about. It's acting mostly.

And listening to uninteresting self obsessed rambling.

The sheer energy it must take to be an extrovert.
But then extroverts get energy from social interactions.

Correct! Extrovert win energy, we loose energy. That's why I need to spend time on my own after socialization.

But, not all has to be an act. There are people who is a pleasure to communicate with and you can also share and learn from them.
I try to look for this kind of people.

exactly, thats how extroverts get their energy is by socializing and being around people..us introverts are drained by socializing, extros live for it and feed off of it..this is why its so easy for them to form relationships...

i think extroverts might put on a little act but mostly its genuine, they truly enjoy socializing whereas im the opposite..i can enjoy socializing but its quite rare..its really not fair..
