Faking it-No More

I try to see this stuff simply as a part of my personality, which is neither wrong nor right. It's just a part of mine.

I don't think that there is specific discrimination against SA. Everyone who ain't the social average will be looked at closely. While this is not a nice thing to happen, I don't think that I'd call it "discrimination against us". That sounds like as if the whole world would have hurting us as it's only aim.

I don't think that I really fake stuff in this matter. I try to go to social events, and when I like it there I stay, and when I don't like it, then I leave. *shrugs*

while i agree your beliefs can alter you perception, i also think your external environment can alter your beliefs.

It would be difficult for an individual to accept themselves when they have had a lifetime of external input suggesting they are otherwise broken. I would very much like to believe that I could fly but the concept is difficult to accept due to my experiences with gravity.

I also think it is influenced by our Biology. There is definitely a Bio/Neuro underpinning. Some days, I almost feel magically great!

Fake is never an option; even in this increasingly fake world. The difficult part is coming to terms with the fact that you can't please MOST people. Despite the mixed signals you get from society, unfortunately, conflict is unavoidable. There will always be those who enjoy being in power and will do and say anything they can to keep it; and those who are tired of being exploited and pushed around. Developing character; being honest with yourself is crucial for survival. No matter how weak you think you are, adopt the philosophy of patience and make a point of excercising free will everyday, and in time you will be self-confident and a force to be reckoned with. Then you will find yourself surrounded by real people who truly appreciate you.
