Caffeine

How does caffeine affect you? For me, its the cure all that gets rid of all that ails me for about four hours. I built up too much of a tolerance for it though. such a shame. When i have presentations, i take a 300 milligram pill and im good to go, low anxiety. But after it wears off I'm back to my old ways.

My experience with caffeine is similar to yours. I used to drink an entire four pack of red bull for lunch at least twice a week. People would tell me to drink those 5hr energy shots instead because there's no crash, but I responding by telling them I like the crash. During a caffeine crash, you're just too exhausted to worry about anxiety. Eventually I built up a tolerance so that even four red bulls or two monsters did pretty much nothing. Lately I have cut back for health reasons. I try to keep it to two cans of monster or less per week and as a result, my tolerance has gone down again.

it doesn't affect me in the slightest, one cup of coffee i mean. if i drank 3-4 cups in a row then that would probably give me boosted energy but generally its like drinking water for me. i only ever drink one cup of coffee a day and not each day so i'm probably not drinking enough to make a substantial difference. although i know a person who can drink half a cup and they are jumping around for hours.

yeah, ive had to cut down too. last year during exams, i downed a yellow jacket with a monster. couldn't sleep for nearly two weeks afterward and i saw everything about one foot to the left of where it should have been. good for you for cuttin down. its hard to do.

^ lol just asking, i never knew til i went to therapy and everyone in my group was avoiding the coffee and i'm drinking it and they are like doesn't it make you feel funny?

I had no idea, lol but then i thought about it and i always had bad chest pains, i use to drink wayyyyyyy too much caffeine went i stoped it went away, now when i drink it i get bad chest pains again, my heart races.. and i get dizzy... but still i drink it when im extremely tired. you do get a rush, but i don't drink it when i'm out cause im scared.

i drink coffee when i know i havent had enough sleep and also know when i am going to fall asleep during a particular class, i try not to make a habit of hving coffee every single day cause i know that when i have a day that doesnt need it i will crash and get a caffeine haedache

yeah, id still drink it regardless of the whole anxiety causing aspect. its kinda of like, if you have the energy to run circles around the building for the next three days, who cares about anything else? i think it even can prevent alzhiemer or old timers a bit. and dementia. of course i think a coffee company funded the study, but who's to question science?

I don't drink much caffeine (I've never even tasted a cup of coffee)
But once I took some "energy" pills which had a lot of caffeine in them and went to school. It felt like I was have a stroke.
I felt like I was dying, it was pretty horrible and I had one arm with throbbing pain along with shortness of breath, and I felt really weak and I was extremely pallid. The school actually offered to call the ambulance at one point, but I just called my parents and went home.
So yeah, I don't tolerate caffeine very well.
