Which is better, glycopyrrolate or pro-banthine? Also, how do you use pro-banthine? Is it still available in the UK?

I'm sure if you search both products on these forums you will find much more info than I can give you, however I have had good success with controlling HH with probanthine.

They MUST be taken on an empty stomach otherwise you will have no effect & they take about 30mins to an hour to kick in. Also I suffer with side effects such as very dry mouth/eyes. However it does stop me sweating COMPLETELY. I am happy to live with the side effects and be sweat free if im honest.

I found a guy on here who crushes up the pills and snorts them. This enables it to work within 5-10 mins, and even if you have a full stomach. I can't say that I recommend it as it cant be good to put anything up your nose, but it does work perfectly, and I find I need a much lower dosage to get the desired effects of the drug.

Again I dont think thats a good way to take it long term but if you were in an emergency then I guess its good to know...

Thanks for the reply, I really wouldn't recommend snorting it though haha as it would dry out the NALT, so surely respiratory infections would be likely.

Do you get them in the UK? I may ask to switch as 1) they are cheaper for the NHS, and therefore more available and likely to be prescribed, and 2) I am becoming tolerant to glyco!

Yeah I get them in the UK, I had to take the information to my doctor, they referred it to the dermatologist, who agreed with me and therefore prescribed it. Been on it for over a year and it's been a life saver :)
