Giving a Presentation with Avert/Robinul

Today I had to give a 10 minute presentation in class. Normally I would have a really sweaty face, but thanks to 4mg of Avert on an empty stomach I was mostly dry. The problem is that my mouth and throat were really dry too. I found it hard to speak because of the dry throat. I had to do a lot of coughing and throat clearing, and I had to pause 3 times in just 10 minutes to drink from my water bottle.

I loved being dry during my presentation, compared to before when I was a very sweaty mess. But what to do about this dry throat business? I got a few odd looks for having to drink water so much and clear my throat so much for such a short 10 minute presentation

I think that's pretty awesome. Avert worked as advertised.

No it's not awesome because it was very hard to speak with such a dry throat.
I had to clear my throat a lot and drink a lot of water even for such a short
presentation

Well, there is no stigma associated with drinking lots of water while giving presentation. Someone in the audience probably think: Oh, that's the speak who was always thirsty.
If you sweat a lot, the audience will not only remember you as someone who sweats a lot, but as the nervous speaker. If there isn't a social perception between sweating and being nervous, I don't think many of us will even care about the condition.

It's hard to speak for 10 or 15 mins with a very dry throat.

I've mentioned Biotene products before. They have a gel which you could carry around, especially aimed at dry mouth. The whole line has this as its aim.
There may be other brands too--I could care, but these are easily available in drugstores. So that's one thought.

Getting dry mouth during a presentation is normal if feeling nervous, and can happen to anyone. Given that, a presentation with Avert/Robinul is quite difficult, but I would prefer a dry mouth over sweating. I was so happy that I didn't start sweating during my first presentation on Avert/Robinul, but just as you I had some problems with a dry mouth. It was managable though. Perhaps a lower dosage could help? But then again there would be a chance of starting to sweat instead. My decision was to stay on a 4mg dosage and live with the dry mouth.

I just ordered the Biotene oral gel. Hopefully it will take care of my very dry mouth
and throat when I take Avert. I really hope Biotene works.
