Do you get shocked from your daydreaming?

I was coming down the steps from my apartment, in my own thoughts, and was shocked when somebody else was coming up the stairway. I think I visibly shook, and said an awkward "hey, how's it going?" I'll probably ruminate over that for awhile. I was just not expecting that, I don't encounter many of the other tenants using it. Anyway, has this happened to you?

I felt so embarrassed and angry at myself at the same time, like that was a normal reaction.

This happens to me a lot. Just the other day I swore really loudly to this little old lady. I was waiting for the elevator and it opened and I didn't expect anyone to be on it and there she was and man did it give me a scare! I jumped and just yelled, holy ****! Right at her. I felt so bad and she didn't seem to get what was going on at all. I am such a fool lol

Yeah, happens to me too. Sometimes I'm just so lost in my own world that I don't even seem to know what's going on around me.

LOL Its happened to me. One time I was washing my hands in the middle of class. It was in the french section bathroom,in french its all girls so the guy bathroom is always empty.. I was humming a song,then the rare time a guy walked in and scared the living SH*T out of me. I was like "OH" and jumped back like 20 feet. I scared him too though so we both just laughed.

Then another time I was on a free period walking through the halls. Its actually wicked because the school seems so empty. I was just day dreaming,thinking about life and stuff when the door to a classroom opens and a teacher just f**kin peels out faster than ive ever seen a human move. I literally went pale it scared me so bad
