Crazy Therapists.

Sometimes you reach a conclusion that therapists themselves are probably more insane than their victims..

I visit a therapist today, a new one. This time I did some thorough research before choosing one and this guy holds some genuine qualifications and reviews.. Especially that the past two I went to were messed up and made matters worse..

Anyways we sit in the room for about an hour and 20 minutes taking.. Everything he was saying and asking was very reasonable, logical and evident.

Then things went crazy when he started talking about and demonstrating EFT and that's when I started to feel like this is some nutjob..

Overall, I was satisfied by the session and diagnosis; he asked the questions that really got me thinking and realizing things clearly but the EFT part put me off but I played along to see what the end conclusion would be..

Anyways, I later go online and do some research to realize that EFT is pile of b******t pseudoscience!! An added bonus is I find out that EFT gets the approval stamp and blessing of Deepak Chopra, which is good enough to discredit almost anything in this world.

He also gave me an EFT website to try it out: EFT (Tapping) Emofree.com is The Gold Standard for EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques)

Despite his good diagnosis by asking the right questions and him claiming that he will privately peer review my condition with other psychologists who work in his clinic; that EFT part makes me hesitant about ever coming back to him.

Sounds crazy, I've been tapped during an open day and I liked it, but then I enjoyed being tapped by a good-looking woman.

If you think he is good, and you would like seeing him, tell him you are just interested in therapy and don't want to do EFT.

If he doesn't want to accept that, go somewhere else.

Man, I dunno.. I am worried that he will waste my time with useless affirmations or such.. There is already enough pseudoscience, disinformation and victimization patients for money out there, that I wouldn't want to fall into this crap ever again.

The guy implied that this is an experimental technique but seeing him take this seriously, while studies show its another pile of pseudoscience crap, made me question his credibility and whether he will actually benefit me on the long run or waste my money like other therapists did..

I plan to contact him and inform him that I am not buying any of this crap and that he should explain himself for resorting to a technique that has no solid scientific evidence or peer reviews to demonstrate its validity..

I think people should seriously review and research about anything their therapists tell them and I think they should do a background check on their therapists.. This industry is becoming full of abusers, poor performers and unqualified people, at least where I live.

If it didn´t cost you money, maybe it would be worth trying. You never know what is true, until you try.

Like I didn´t believe much in homeopathy, but then some GP in Germany who also does chinese medizin recommended that I buy Ferrum Metallicum D12, so I did but I didn´t take it because I thought it wouldn´t work. So I had it lying around for months until I felt like throwing it out but didn´t want to, so I started eating one every morning, I didn´t even bother making sure it was taken on empty stomach or which food I eat with it. Soon I was feeling so good and full of energy. I was wondering why and if that thing had to do anything with it. But what else? Ferrum Metallicum is in fact homeopathic iron and I was suffeing anemia, that would explain why I was suddenly feeling so good. Since then I tried to buy new ones, but D12 is not sold in my country, only C something, but that wasn´t having any effect. If I was ever in Germany I would try again..

But I got a bit off topic. If you´re paying money for it, I would rather forget it though in your place, because you can go there for ages, waste money and it will not work. I have bad experience with this so I don´t go to therapists anymore, unless it´s free.
