Hi! every one.
I very much like coffee but I just discover is specially harmful for people with anxiety. It´s thought the caffeine effects in body to last for 13 or 16 days. This is a thing you already problably know but I wanted to share it.

Bye, friends!

I limit myself to a max of 2 a day. Usually i just have one in the morning to give me a kick start. I notice that it definately makes my mind and heart race more and makes me sweat.

After reading on this site about coffee, in the past couple of weeks I've tried to dose down and have less. I think it makes a difference, and like Recluse mentioned, coffee does make you sweat more...so for a guys who has sweating issues, it does help.

Hopped Up

I drink decaffeinated drinks. I honestly can't tell the difference between them and the "real thing", taste wise at least.

On the rare occasions I have a Starbucks coffee (the real deal) I feel hopped up and my hands shake. It's powerful stuff, indeed.

I am clearly a lightweight :D

I also think coffee contributes to my anxiety, but I must have my cup of coffee in the morning, if I don't I usually crash after lunch and sleep for about an hour.

Coffee does affect me quite a bit if I drink too much. Lately I just quit drinking it becaue I thought it would be contributing to anxiety. it probably has but I still have still had anxiety or some sort of edginess, uneasiness, "excited/hot" feelings, jumpiness, rapid heartbeat even without it. I also think the coffee roast and type of coffee might change the feel of the coffee, or the way it's made. Yerba mate is supposed to have a "cleaner" type of caffeine which doesn't give the gitters as much as coffee.

there might be some good alternatives though.

It took me a while to get used to the taste of decaf and I do miss the "kick" of a little caffeine boost but I am glad I made the switch as I feel less anxious.

Same here..... can't drink anything that contains caffeine these days as I
won't sleep and my heart starts racing. Decaf is just as good and I enjoy
herbal teas like chamomile etc.
