Am I ugly?

I've been having these bad feelings lately because I feel like no matter how hard I try to be nice to everybody that no one likes me. I'm a guy and when I was little, lots of guys use to make fun of me and would often bully me so I always thought they were better than me. I'm glad that happened now, because I know that I would never treat anyone else like that and I think it made me more compassionate towards others.

But it feels people are still looking over me or picking on me. The guys would also tell me that I was ugly but everyone else told me I wasnt but now I'm starting to believe that I am ugly because I was bullied. I have lots of black hair and brownish-green eyes so maybe I can seem ugly but I don't feel I like it because I like the way I look. Does being bullied make you a ugly person or lower than the ones who bullied you?

There's a lid for every pot, no matter what you look like. And of course being bullied doesn't make you lower or uglier than anyone else. You were, for whatever reason, a perceived easy target, but it was likely for a whole host of other reasons that have nothing to do with your appearance or value as a person. It was probably because you were too submissive, too insecure, unable to stand up for yourself, unable to fit in with your peers, or some combination of those.

Your eyes sure do change colour a lot!

I agree... Alex, you could have edited your original post instead of creating new threads whenever your eyes change color ::p:

But whatever color your eyes are, I'm sure you're not ugly, the bullies are just jealous.

Actually yeah, I do remember reading a post by you just the other day and it sounded a lot like this one (just with a different eye color). Who are you, David Bowie? ::p:

Absolutely not. The bullies make themselves lower each & every time they make a rude remark or commit any negative act towards someone. They are the ones who are ugly & lowly, not their victims. I was harassed non-stop throughout most of my childhood & teenage years at school & I know now, & knew then, that they were the problem, not me. I was just being myself, doing absolutely nothing to provoke any of their comments or gestures.

You should try not to let your bullies' views of you fuel how you view yourself. They were only calling you ugly because they felt ugly themselves & were trying to make themselves feel better by trying to belittle you.

Black hair & brown eyes sounds very attractive, btw, not ugly in the least.

Sorry. I said both of my eyes look green and brown, it just depends how the light hits them, that's all. So I never know how to describe myself because sometimes they're green and other days their brown.

The only reason I posted again was because I just care about other peoples' opinions; that's probably another thing I picked up from being bullied.
