Allow me to introduce myself!

My name is Meili and I am 17 years old. If you're wondering about my name it's Chinese; I am half Swiss and half Chinese. I tend to be extremely avoidant of people that I don't know, so I have very few friends, I also hate social occasions(so you can imagine how much I hate school, it's not uncommon for me to go 8 hours without talking in school) and I blush excessively and so easily, and I can not stress how much I hate it when people point out that I'm blushing! It just makes it worse and I feel like ripping out their throats. :evil: So good thing you can't see me through a computer screen 8) .

I didn't understand very much why I blushed so much and what not till I just did some research recently, which lead me to this website. I read about the symptoms and I suprisingly met most of them, although I could be misdiagnosing myself, but I really don't want to seek any professional help at the moment. This is something I really wouldn't want to admit to my mom, it would be terribly awkward and she probably wouldn't do anything anyway. So for now I'll just have temporary relief by just expressing it here!

I know you've said you don't want to get any help now, but I would really recommend it. If you don't get help for it now it will only get worse, and wouldn't you rather sort this out now than a few years down the line when you've developed extreme social anxiety? I really really would urge you to face it now.

I agree with kayelle as that's what happened to me. I had very little knowledge of SA at that time and thought i was just shy. Several years later i found out about it more and and just recently talked to my mom about it and it really wasn't bad at all i really regret not talking to her earlier.

im a little bit diffrent i love makeing new friends, but i find it hard to aproach peaple mainly becuase i have a stammer and no one understands what im trying to say. i find it harder to make friends than i used to because peaple just dont want to come near me no more.
