i feellll... very shy for posting and asking this but, i just have to ask..

Any one have social problems so bad that you weren't able to speak anymore and when you do speak you have small panic attacks trying,
or words don't come out no matter how much you wanted them too?
well not just people but family too..

but to where that you have to write on paper for communication when you do see people..?

my family thinks im making all my social problems up..
and my friends don't understand..
i feel so alone in this x_x..

i just want to know that im not the only one that does this...?

or if anyone can share some tips on how to be able to slowly start to talk again to people, any words of wisdom would really help greatly or sharing some stories <3..

ohh~ talking is kind of overrated though, isn't it?
haha

I'm okay at talking most of the time... when I have to, anyways.
You may have selective mutism if it's that hard for you to get out a single word- that you have to write things onto paper.
I don't have much knowledge on that- but it sounds like you fit the description, and it's not a bad thing.

One thing you could try- as silly as it sounds; it practicing talking to yourself in the mirror or talk to your pets, or plants. If you can get some generic dialogue prepared, then you could always use those words as backups for times when you can't force any other words out?

thank you for your reply, you might be right it could be selective mutism, everything on the list matches with me, though it doesn't list the other things, im scared of all social situations, and people and interacting with people and going outside because there are people outside, ah this is so confusing cuz im not 100% sure whats wrong with me >__<...

i've tryd talking to myself, and things.. it feels so embarassing xD

Oh yes, it will feel strange to talk to yourself but sometimes it's all you can really do.

Have you tried therapy before?
Have you told your doctor about your troubles?
I think that's a good place to start off-- also; if you are in school and your school has a counselor, you could make an appointment to talk to them about your situation.

There are others on this forum who have selective mutism, so you can probably seek them out for their advice as well if you feel inclined to. :3

oh-- and don't panic, thinking; "ohmygod, something is wrong with me, wahh!!"
It doesn't make you any less of a person and doesn't take away from all of the good qualities I'm sure you have.
You just have to treat yourself well and practice and do things that you like to do.
I'm sure you'll be happy whether or not you can 'get over' your anxiety and speaking problems.

oh?

i havn't seen anyone about this i am 22, i havn't left my home for 9 years except for doctors but not for this problem,
i don't have the money for therapy, or get a job to pay for therapy cause i break down and cry if im outside around people to long..

it would be nice to talk to people about this,
but at the same time, i feel so bad about this or talking to other people about it, because i feel like i'll just bother people with it x_x

i wanted to try to give it a shot and write this topic and see if anyone else experienced this or would give tips, i've always been scared to write on forums like these,
im glad theres kind people on this forum though...
thank you very much for the help WeirdyMcGee, i really do appreciate it <3

Oh, not at all~
With that last bit of information, it sounds to me like you may also be Agoraphobic.
I am agoraphobic as well. I can't leave my room unless I have my mother there with me to hold my hand, basically-- and I'm 23. haha

I'll offer a belated 'welcome to the forum' and just say that no one is here to judge you and you may say as much or as little as you'd like.
Everything on here stays here- no one has to know anything about you if you don't feel like telling it.
Use this forum as a tool for therapy, since you don't think you are ready for in-person therapy just yet.
Hopefully you will be able to figure some things out for yourself and feel better.

aw thanks for the welcome <3, i'll try to look in more about the possible disorders you have sent me,
and look up ways on what i can do to help them aswell.

also i sorta know how u feel about having someone holding your hand,
i can't do anything without someone being there, or leave my room to eat.
or stuff like holding on to the side of the grochery cart that my mom pushes trying to ignore everyone around me,
and her having to talk to the doctors for me and stuff D:

i do feel abit better thanks to you, thank you for cheering me up <3
