Does anyone else ever feel that you wouldn't have half of the anxieties and issues if people didn't label you the quiet one etc. everywhere you went?
I think for me, because of the way my SA is, that would actually maybe be the ultimate cure. I only get SA symptoms and feel it when i know people are soon enough going to point out that I am so "quiet".
However, I know that if no-one pointed it out and everyone kept talking to me the way they talk to everyone else, it would only be a matter of time before I open up. Because the more I feel like a person is on my "level" and not intimidating in any way, I open up alot more and feel so much more comfy. If I never seemed different to anyone or atleast gave me the impression that I wasn't, I wouldn't be different because they would be seeing past it in my view, therefore there would be no more room for it to exist. if that makes sense.
This is of course a moot point, as we cannot change the perceptions and views of others, but I just thought id comment on it, cos its like freedom is so close yet so far away.
