Work frustration

Hey,

I work as a "designer" in a small family company that distributes hunting clothes and boots. Now one part of my work consists of giving form to advertentions, things for print.
The process of conceptualizing goes as follows:
My boss will make suggestions about the lay-out. I will be unable to interject my own thoughts and have an influence on what ultimately should be my responsibility: designing the lay-out.
The end result will be the boss deciding the lay-out while I just execute it.

A second point of frustration is he will ask my colleague what she thinks of the design and they will both discuss the design, while I just sit there and end up executing what two people who aren't really affiliated with the job suggest.

This is rather frustrating and yes i know the solution will be to in one way or the other learn to formulate my thoughts but that doesn't take away from the fact that this is very frustrating.

I was in a similar situation until I decided to make a change. What you have to do is to verbally formulate your frustrations to those people. How can they even change if they don't even know how you feel. All this anxiety comes from the repress frustrations that you experience. All this "energy" that you keeps for yourself needs to get out.

Also somebody suggest you to get a new job and move on.
WRONG ANSWER. If you do that your just moving away from your problem. It will still follow you until to face it directly. I know that its not easy as it looks but fight for it.
