Wimps

In my opinion, people who let themselves become afraid, or even anxious around others, are wimps. Be tough with yourself like i'm doing, kick yourself in the ass, and maybe things will change for you. Don't care about what others think, worry about yourself!

There are different levels of anxiety. Some people suffer from more severe anxiety than others so they may appear to be giving up when in reality they are fighting at least as hard as you are. People with no anxiety at all probably think you are a wimp because you are afraid of something they are not. Are you a wimp? One thing I have learned is not to be so judgmental of others. I just think there but for the grace of God go I.

Disagree with you K rage. I do feel anxious around others and I'm definetly not a wimp. I still put myself in situations were I know my SA will probably start, I might get anxious but I can't controll that yet.

I think that makes me alot less of a wimp.

Can't see were your going with this post?

don't get it..

There are certain people who are far worse than others. There are certain people who get to the point where they just give up. And there are plenty of others who fight the battle on a consistent basis.

As far as being called a WIMP.. I don't get the comment.

Just because somebody doesn't talk much really doesn't make them a wimp. Just because somebody doesn't have a thousand friends doesn't make them a wimp. Just because many with SA will ever be Great Sales people, doesn't make them a wimp.

What is a wimp?

Maybe a wimp is somebody coming to an internet forum and calling a bunch of people they'll never meet or see. Maybe the OP is describing himself. I mean putting others down and calling them Wimps isn't exactly nice, but doing it on some internet forum where you hide behind an IP address and bs user name speaks of the "internet tough guy" syndrome. Lets put down people on an internet forum... Sounds to me like the OP might have to take a long hard look in the mirror before calling everybody else wimps.

Yeah i'm a wimp. When i kick myself in the ass i just lay there and wimper in an hysterical fit of woe. I don't know, i have tried it all really; pouring boiling water over myself, bitch slaps, clipping around the ears, lawnmower over the foot, broken mirrors, forcebly taking all of my clothes off of myself and making me walk around naked... I just don't know what to do anymore. I just lay there weeping, i'm so weak it's pitiful.

K rage, partially motivating. Have you ever thought about telling a psychologist of your new profound theory?
 Are you completely SA free now?

hey k_rage..just assuming you really don't understand the anxiety we suffer from, trust me, we don't "let ourselves become afraid" there are many different circumstances leading us to have the issues we have today..we do challenge ourselves, sometimes many times a day..and we're extremely tough on ourselves. And contrary to being wimps, we can be very brave people..with the simplest of things (to most people) causing us much stress and anxiety. And we still get up and try and try again. I would call that bravery my friend 8)
