Anyone found a remdy for ''Hands shaking''

Dear all

Anyone found a remdy for ''Hands shaking''

I identify with all that everyone has said.I just can't calm my nerves when my hands starts shaking.

I can't hold the fork and knife to eat.I'll shake like a leaf.

 Especially if females that I find attractive are around then I get really nervous.

you must be taking the piss

what the hell is that supposed to mean? i called you pretty, that's a complitment, not a sexual assertion. And you are pretty, look at yourself, you are beautiful! To beautiful, in my opinion, to be suffering from any type of anxiety! :D

When i was younger it used to be my entire body that shook, especially at school, these days it's more my hands
I find i shake more in front of people i know rather than strangers

Thankyou

Since posting this thread and reading others thoughts i realise that i'm not the only one effected with this physical feature of social anxiety.

It used to get me so depressed that i even thought about suicide

The good thing is that these days even though i still shake at times i'm nowhere as bad as i used to be, i think after a while you go through a phase of not caring what others think as part of a depressive phase,

I don't know what the answer is to alleviating this problem, i expect it comes from within, i think generally we're probably too sensitive, and that heightens our anxiety, maybe anyway.

All i know from my own experiences is that it at times can be hard to deal with, and that whatever stage you're at with SA you're doing well just acknowledging this problem.

Oh man I shake something terribly when I am nervous which is almost all the time. Talking infront of the class, meeting new people, being around a cute guy, people staring at me.....I just start to shake uncontrollably. I can't write, can't turn the pages in my notebook, can't pick up a fork to eat. I even have a problem pronouncing words. I start saying things backwards. It's awful.

I've worked as a veterinary assistant as I hope to go to vet school and become a veterinarian but I have never drawn blood. I shake too bad I don't think I would ever be able to, but I know if I want to be a vet I am gonna have to. It is so hard.

I know exactly what you mean i had exactly the same problem when i decided to go into nursing, but you are right if you want to be a vet you will have to draw blood, one thing though is that the first time you do people will assume you're just nervous and won't necessarily link it to anything else. Have you ever been on any medication for this?

My anxiety is hyperhidrosis induced so to take medicine for the anxiety isn't really solving the underlying problem so I don't think medicine would work... :?

i know medication really isn't the answer but sometimes it can alleviate some of the symptoms
