Where´s our solution-oriented mind???

Hi everybody! I´ve been visiting this forum for a long time ago and i only can thank God for finding it. Anyway, i note that most topics created in this forum are exposures of what we suffer everyday with SA. Well, i think exposing our problems is very important and really can make us feel better. But what i really can´t see in our forum are the solution-oriented topics. I suggest creating a new sticky topic called "recovery solutions" or something like that. In this topic people would only post the solutions (not exposures of their problems) they think that can work better agains S.A. We could discuss new ways of approaching our problem, new ways of dealing with people interactions, new techniques invented by us (or not) for making good conversations, new patterns of thinking that could help, etc, etc, etc. It´s a bit like transforming ourselves in scientists making our own research for the cure. This is my suggestion for a new sticky topic. What do you think???

I think there are too many sticky posts already. When someone describes their problems in a post, most of the time people will reply with sympathy and solutions that have worked for them. I know it's a lot, but I think we need to read the entire post and all the replies to find solutions that work. Personally I think ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) can help us, but if I reply "try ACT" to every post people will get tired of me quickly. So I try to explain how ACT would handle their particular problem. I don't know all the answers (or even a few of them), but I'm trying to help and hoping that I am helping someone.

It's a good idea in theory, but I feel like solutions are really specific to the individual. I don't think there's any one thing that can do it for everyone. I also think some people don't even really want to change, it's more about having a place to mope. I know I'm a bit like that, it's not that I hate the way I am, it's just nice to share experiences and talk. :)
