What's wrong with me?

Hey guys,

I'll try to keep it short.

Basically, I was wondering if my dry lips* and speech** is being affected by my deviated septum?
* - They're not THAT dry, but I feel the need to keep licking them. :3
** - Every once in a while, sometimes pretty often, I mispronounce words, but the thing is, I *know* when I'll do it beforehand. Which is when my lips are dry/nose & tongue feeling weird-ish.

And because of that, I sometimes tend to think about what am gonna say before even meeting the person (which makes it even worse, lol). Mostly when going to govt, etc. institutions, tho. A couple of years ago I was all-improv.

So.. what's wrong with me? Could this all be because of my deviated septum? Doubt it. :(

Any advice appreciated!

Cheers!

I think a deviated septum would cause more of a dry mouth and throat than your lips. You should go to doctor. Are you taking any meds? When I'm good at taking my vitamins, my lips don't seem as dry. And just so you know, licking your lips will only make them drier. Use a chapstick. When mine are really dry I put blistex or carmex on before bed, it seems to help(when I remember to do it). I need to get one to leave on my night table.
Hey, thanks for replying!

To answer your question, no, I'm not taking any meds. ;)
Thanks to you I've actually stopped licking my lips, which has helped quite a bit. I think. :D Sometimes I do forget about it and do it anyway so I think I'll have to start using a chapstick so I wouldn't feel the need to lick them in the first place.

Oh, and by the way, I had to go through a medical check up for something & the doc said that my heart rate at rest is way too high; 140 bpm. So I'll have to find out what's up with that. Either I have a "white coat syndrome" or something else like essential hypertension.

Anyway.. :D Have a great week!
