whats the deal with these forums?

i like see replies to threads like once every hour is it just the times im browsing or do people just prefer to browse and not post?

It could be the times you are logged on. Like any site this one has it's busy times and it's down times. Also, given the nature of the site, many people may prefer not to post and just read what others have to say. Some people may feel nervous about posting for fear of being disagreed with, or not responded to at all. Others may only post when they feel a topic hits close to home for them.
