What useful/productivity-type apps do you use?

I'm talking here about little programs (pc) or "apps" (for phones/tablets), that you use on daily or regular basis, which helps you in some small way (eg helps to speed-up doing sth on pc (saves time), or perhaps automates stuff). Generally, just little programs that make life a bit easier & more manageable in some small way.
Again, not the main, big programs like browser, skype, messenger/chat, system tools, antivirus, etc, etc. But more the more small unique/specialist ones (i guess basically like "apps" on phones/tablets).

Here are some examples of ones i use...

Organization
- Point Motivator (used a year/so ago, but not now for now; is motivational (every luxury/reward = "eats into" points, every task done adds to points you have available)
- PalmDesktop (timetable/scheduling application)
- CRON (a diet program; enter in food --> displays RDI's & % reached for each day; has vitamins, menerals, amino acidis, lipids, ..)
- AutoHotkey (see below)

System
- Process Tamer (helps to stop any process from "hogging" the cpu)
- RAM-defrag program (defrags RAM every 30 mins)
- AutoHotkey (see below)

Other
- Desktop Lighter (can inc/dec screen brightness via keyboard; no need to access monitor controls (which are sig slower))
- Iconize (can minimize windows to system tray; so clears taskbar of unecessary clutter)
- Fast Volume (can adjust master volume via mouse wheel)
- TreePad (useful for when txt documents get too big or confusing; can store notes in "nodes" in a "tree" structure)
- AutoHotkey (i have written HUNDREDS of scripts, which handle all manner of things on the pc, to save time, automate often-done things, display reminders, display alerts, handle program alert messages, etc, etc, etc)

Also, i have recently acquired my very first tablet device, so any ideas on some useful apps for that?

3g watchdog - keeps me aware of how much of my monthly data i've used

and for a bit of fun...AutoRap and Songify - turns speech into songs!

The sleep-talk recorder can be....interesting...too!

Oh - and because my Samsung doesn't have a set notification glow (for example, if my screen goes dark from inactivity i have to press the power button to see if i have a message) i use NoLed - puts a little neon symbol on the dark inactive screen so i can see from a distance if i have something to check

Very good ... but let's keep the "fun" apps out of thread for now (see thread title). Maybe that good be for another thread, say "What fun-type apps do you use?" :) (anyone feel free to start that thread, as i'm not really into "fun" things, just solely productive things .. although i guess fun apps are "useful" in that respect! hehe)

And by "Samsung" (i'm not up with play with modern gadgets), do you mean phone? galaxy smartphone? tablet?

Dropbox - cloud storage
SimpleMind - mindmapping tool

I actually don't use those apps since I have no need of them yet, though my brother goes to uni and uses them frequently.
