I am afraid of heights, snakes, the dark, thunderstorms especially thunder ( I hate loud noises), any reptiles, rats, sharks, the ocean (in the deep seas), the lake and that's all i can think of.

I can climb normal stairs, but something really high i cant do it especially looking down.

I dont play in the wood anymore becuase snakes freak me the eff out.

I have a nightlight in my room for the dark.

I have hated loud noises since i was younger.

Reptiles have icky skin. And scare me.

Rats are just scary in general.

Sharks are me and can eat you.

The ocean you never know whats underneath you.

The lake becuase of the icky snakes.

I'm actually serious about this.

I am afriad of Wooden Popsicle Sticks

as well as Rabbits

I'm not afraid of any of the things you listed though. Mine are just totally irrational :p.

I look away. I can't even look at wooden sticks because they gross me out so bad. Thinking about it ewwww oh my god. Just the feeling. It's all so disgusting.

Spiders, Centipedes, ticks, leaches

Death... weird because I am also affraid of life... But mostly I get affraid of death when I think of not seeing my little one grow up/him not having a mommy

Driving at night (I actually have other driving fears)

I always seem to go psycho thinking someone is breaking into the house when I'm home alone at night

That my body will act against my mind and make me do horrible things (like run someone over, drive over the edge of a cliff, hurt my baby, spew profanity, etc)... I logically know I wouldn't do this stuff but it scares me anyways.

I used to have a strange more OCD than phobia when I started to learn to drive. I always thought I might have left the handbrake on, I used to check it was off after changing each gear for about 2 weeks.

Oh and I hate the sound of other people using tissue paper to blow their nose on, even worse if they tuck the dripping thing up their sleve. yuck!

Holy crap, I've never heard of anyone but me being totally disgusted by wooden popsicle sticks. Everyone I've ever told that to thinks I'm nuts. I can't stand them, it's like finger nails on a blackboard to me. I get goosebumbs and feel weird in my stomach whenever I touch one or even see one. Anything wood like that does it, toothpicks and those little wooden spoons. ugh

I think social phobia is pretty bad itself, enough to make life a hell. Apart from it I am for example afraid of stray dogs or other animals that can be dangerous. As a child I used to be very afraid of dark, skeletons, bones, ghosts, or dead animals in the forrest. My mother said I detested touching cats, but I don´t remember that. Also once I was with parents in the circus and enjoyed everything, all the animals incl. elephants, bears etc., but when lion came, I got a panic attack and forced my parents that we leave. They were very annoyed. I don´t know why this happened. Sometimes people have irrational fears, esp. children.

Oh My God!!!!!! Seriously? I thought I was the only one! I can't stand the sight of them. They just disgust me so much. I can't even think about a wooden stick because I will then image how it would feel in my mouth. I also will like close my eyes or look away if I see someone eating with one. Because it's so disgusting. Goosbumps? me too. People think you're crazy? Me too. It's just the dry wood in your mouth feeling. It gives me the chills to think about it. Ewwwwwwwws.

I've heard its very rare to have APT and not have at least one serious phobia.

Mine is spiders, they fairly much paralyse me with fear. That's part of the reason I love my cat, she knows to kill them for me.

But I'm now 'confronting the fear'. I may be given the opportunity soon to move to a country with lots of very very big, very aggressive spiders which I wont be able to avoid. So I'm trying to let their little British cousins crawl over me, if I can tolerate that then I've got a chance of surviving abroad- its too important an opportunity for spiders to get in the way of!

:D

I was about to start a topic about this!

Spiders. Rodox, I would like to kill you for that picture. I'm volunteering at a summer science camp, and next week the theme is eight-legged creatures, so I'm either going to be in constant panic or get over it.

Also, I'm afraid of being in water that I can't stand up in and can't see the bottom of.
