The other day I read a study that said that a scientist put something in a mouse's brain that would stimulate its pleasure center everytime the mouse would press a bare. It was found that they would press the bare none stop and die of thirst and hunger in the process( wouldn't even stop to eat).
It seems silly but after reading that, I found myself wishing that they would conduct an experiment like that on humans... what do u guys think?

The experiments used three implanted electrodes one in the brain region that senses reward or pleasure, and one each in areas that process signals from the rat's left and right whisker bundles.

Chapin's team trained the rats in a maze by signaling the left and right whisker-sensing regions. When a rat turned in the correct direction, its reward-sensing region was stimulated.

Activating only the reward region caused the rodents to move forward, the team found.

Call Them Mouse-Controlled Rats

This one sounds more like what you described...

Olds put the rat in a box and stimulated its brain whenever the rat approached a certain corner. He expected the rat to stay out of that corner, but instead Olds observed the rat was "coming back for more," acting as though the brain stimulation was pleasurable (Olds & Milner, 1954).

Sounds like it could be some awesome therapy under a controlled environment. Obviously humans would have more self control... or maybe not? And that's why we should experiment it!
