Vitamin B deficiency

I've been taking vitamin B pills for a few days and notice an increase in energy. I don't have so much trouble getting up and getting started anymore and my anxiety has lessened. I am feeling a more stable energy mental and physical. I don't know if this is normal, or wether it means that I was deficient in vitamin B, which supposedly can cause depression symptoms. I've heard however that people with this deficiency need injections, and only through those injections can their symptoms lift, so I don't know if simple pills should have this effect or wether I just don't have enough vitamin B in my diet.

I called the doctor and will take a bloodtest tomorrow, maybe my fatigue, depression and social anxiety is correlated to vitamin B deficiency or something else. I hope this will bring an end to my physical symptoms.

Anyone else has experience with this?

well nothing drastic that Id put down to one vitamin deficiency but

I noticed a big difference when I made a number of lifestyle changes that included diet last year.
*changed to a healthy balanced diet
*started getting regular exercise
*got my sleeping pattern in check.

I think that anxiety is a combination of nature, nurture and lifestyle. I dont think there is one quick fix solve all but a number of small changes can greatly help reduce overall symptoms.:)

Yeah true. I've slowly gotten a lot of those things on track too after realising it couldn't go on like it has. The situation really worsened like 1 year ago.

I've gone through much change the past half year or so.

- Eating more veggies and lean meats
- taking supplements
- psychologist (although I only went 2 times)
- steady sleep cycle, rising earlier.
- being more open to people and less hiding myself to people
- spirituality
- cutting down on caffeine
- increased interest in literature and learning

Occasionaly I still binge eat or break other good habits. And sometimes I still have big energy crashes. A while ago I couldn't even call the doctor because I felt so tweaked out in the morning. Maybe finding out about and treating some physical condition can be the final key in controlling my depression.

these are all great suggestions! I was on a high potency vitamin B supplement coupled with sublingual B12 and vitamin D, plus st johns wort. The st johns wort really messed me up a bit (even though I was less anxious it increased my appetite 10 fold) but the B supplements actually really helped, lookg back on it. let us know how it all turns out, all of you
