Very Very very bad skin

Sadly, roaccutane was the only thing that worked for me.

It can get expensive if the threatment lasts a long time, and it can have some pretty nasty side effects. But in the end it was the only remedy that rid me of such an inconvenient disease.

roaccutane was my only solution too. Reading up on the drug can dig up some pretty scary stories on its side effects, but the worst I suffered was a dry nose and lips (vaseline sorted both of those problems). Was on the drug for a year, only had my blood taken at the start and that was it.

I now only occasionally get spots, face or on my back, but compared to how I was, its the best decision I've ever made. If you can afford it, its definitely worth considering. A lot of the over the counter treatments don't help more serious cases.

Everyone's acne problems are different and it can take a while to find the right treatment for your kind of skin. I found good solutions on this website: User Submitted Acne Treatment and Skin Care Product Reviews Where lots of people people rate and review different kinds of treatment, from medications to home remedies.

The treatment I found that worked for me is scrubbing a baking soda/water mixture on my face and then washing it off. This also works for the body, but for that you should apply it right before you take a shower so you can wash it off easier. Also for deep/cystic acne, dabbing some hydrogen peroxide on it with a Q-tip helps it go away. Both of these ways are my favorites because they are insanely cheap :p
These treatments will most likely dry out your skin, but the website above also has recommendations for facial moisturizing lotion.

Remember though for any treatment to do a test spot first, just in case you get a bad reaction

Try cutting out sugar from your diet, even limit your fruit intake. Sugar is what feeds the bacteria that produces acne. Funnily enough, this bacteria also can produce anxiety disorders, or has at least been strongly linked to. I don't want to spout off too much info because I'm no specialist, but you can contact me if youre interested in learning more
