US TV Show Royal Pains brings HH awareness to the basic cable masses
Royal Pains is a show about a concierge doctor in The Hampton's (New York). In tonight's episode, Hank (the doctor main character) treats a reality television show star who becomes a patient with hyperhidrosis. In the show, the patient uses underarm injections of something called indelatox. As far as I can tell, it is something that isn't real. Nonetheless, 5 to 7 million people watch this show every week during its first airing, and the show repeats probably 10 times throughout the week, so that is more exposure to our condition. The episode goes a little bit into the mental effects of the patients condition, but not nearly deep enough.
