Uni tutorial is torture!!

I attend a University class once a week and it has become a real pain in the butt. We are studying Psychology and there only 8 in the class but usually only 5 or 6 turn up. The teacher, a woman of 46, is very talkative and sometimes just talks the whole class (3 hours without stopping) . She hardly takes an interest in us..not interested in our points of view except recently.... and then only in my talkaholic colleagues. So it's either she dominates the class or now my talkaholic noisy classmates do. The few quiet ones of us in the class are never encouraged to talk or our opinions valued. I partly contribute to this I know, because I just don't want to argue with people who are fairly ignorant and only see things in black and white. Honestly the level of conversation does not reach great intellectual heights in my opinion anyway.
One thing really annoys me is the teacher thinks she is really funny. She's not! Imitating Monty python skits in the middle of a talk...old hat! and predictable after a while..and she feels threatened and if anyone upstages her by being funnier than her. So frustrating to watch.
I'm wellbehaved, willing to play the game in order to pass the course but honestly it is so exhausting to sit for 3 hours of torture every week. Reached the stage where I don't say anything because I'm afraid to show how much disrespect her (and some of my feral classmates)
SA plays a part in this as my frustration level rises from not expressing my true feelings to anyone.

Thanks for reading this vent!

i've felt the same way in classes, some are okay but i've been in a couple where the people are so ignorant and rude it's crazy. i want to speak up but am afraid for obvious reasons.

I always hated classes where teachers just talked and talked for hours, it´s boring, it makes me fall asleep and I personally learn more from reading words than hearing them.

I have always hesitated to participate in class "discussions", because of the usual loudspeakers that I can´t stand listening to, and I don´t want to "defend" my opinions to them. Also the intellectual level is usually too low in such class discussions, so why participate, to me it´s nonsense.
