I tried dricolor and it drove me nuts I couldn't sleep I was so itchy. I think I prefer hand HH than underarms mainly as hands don't smell

I have both, and I can safely say Underarm HH is far far more annoying. Palmer can be easily dealt with using iontophoresis, axillary HH is not that easy.

Was contemplating (more theorising) the same thing as you about burning my underarms but realised the possible implications if it went wrong.

I'm pretty sure it would work. It would scar over your pores and you wouldn't sweat from that area any more... in my theory lol.. honestly it was my last resort and I was willing to try anything at that point. I hate living with underarm HH, it completely changes your life and I would go through ALMOST any short term pain to rid of my HH. If I was going to burn my underarms again though I would heat up a spoon real hot and just slap that biotch under my arm for a few seconds.

Luckily this AF stuff is still keeping me COMPLETELY dry. Even when I'm at the gym I don't sweat from my underarms, soaked everywhere else but not my underarms. I am curious to see how long I can go without applying this stuff but I like being dry too much. I have been applying about every other day w/no irritation, been wearing fitted t-shirts- any color and no wet spots all day. Sometimes it sort of feels like I am sweating, just that internal feeling you get but when I look I am absolutley dry. I think it might just be in my head from constantly having to worry about it before.

This anhydrol forte stuff burnt the crap outta my arm pits 1st night I used it, even to the extent that I have red marks almost like scratches around the edge of my arms. However day1 a marked improvement not perfect but at least 50% better especially on my left pit. I dont think I applied it right though, not enuf where needed and too much where not, doh!

Looking forward to possible improvement 2moro but dreading the discomfort 2night but you know what if it works for me it would be more than worth it, I would do anything to stop the sweating. for me its at work when HH kicks in or when i'm out on the pish and thats the most embarassing part, at home i get little to no sweating. Probably a anxiety or awareness of the problem.

I can completely understand playneasy's point if you truely suffer, suffer like you think your the worst on the planet any relief even a month, year whatever is welcome. crapping a product or someones advise is just going to detour people, if it doesn't work 4 u doesn't mean that it wont work for the next 10 people. I hope it works for me the 1st day wasn;t what I was hoping for but brightside it was better,

laters peeps much love hope you find what your looking for, try it its worth ago.

Playneasy is right don't rubbish a product just becoz it didn't work for you. I have HH and I work in a uniform where I have to slope off to the toilets very 30 mins to 1 hour to air dry my sweat patches. I hardly ever sweat at home just when I'm at work or on the pishh! its probably a aniexity thing or the fact i know I'm in public. Anyways I went to the doctors at the end of my teather and he told me about anhydrol forte and explained what it did to help. I tried it the 1st night and OMFG!!! it burnt my skin and left me as sore as a firemans crotch on bonfire night. what more it only reduced my sweating by 50% especially on my right pit. The 2nd night i applied it again and I realised my mistake I was appling too much all around my armpit area. Yep PAIN I could bare it for about 30 mins then HAD to wash it off. I left it 10 mins and applied it thinly and only over the centre area where the main clump off armpit hair grows. The rest of my pits were shot to bits. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! day 2 NO SWEAT and I mean not 1 god damn drop all day, yeah I was abit sore and I have red marks on my pits but lordy was it worth it.

If you suffer from HH especially underarm HH use this stuff or even driclor which I have discovered is the same stuff just branded and available at boots or superdrug. Driclor funnily enough was recommended to me years ago, I wish I had took that advise coz I never did if it works half aswell as anhydrol forte its gotta be good.

My advise for those that like me are desperately seeking some is get Anhydrol Forte or Driclor follow the instructions well as it can hurt and be very unfortable. it has some funky stuff in it which soaks through the pores and covers the sweat glad just under the skin, it then stops it from releasing sweat and so the glad shuts itself off. The burning I think comes from the alcohol and aluminium chloride. but if used correctly isn't too bad.

This stuff if it continues to work as well as it has so far will CHANGE my life, freedom at last.

Lets just hope it lasts and good luck to all of you out there who are in what was my position.

I'm not rubbishing the product. I'm claiming its no better than any of the others, which it isn't.

Yeah the first 2 times I put it on I had same experience, very red, extremely itchy, very hard to sleep. Now though I can't even feel it, I sometimes wonder if I put it on properly, when I wake up and dry all day though I know I have.

lol, no.

Whats with people? Stop TRYING to find an excuse to argue. Why would I go through the trouble to make another login to attempt to influence your non-appreciative asses, I already feel like I wasted my time. If it wasn't for the poeple who just Surf across this post with a real HH problem, I would stop replying and leave my "Socialphobiaworld" account at what it is. For the people who don't have accounts here and can't reply, I only joined to hopefully help others like you. Regardless that some people have not found releif using Driclor or AF(or could not stand the pain, or simply applied it wrong "YES THERE IS DIRECTIONS"), it does NOT mean you will not as well. Try this shit. If it burns- suck it up... if its too much pain.. then shut the **** up cause you don't SUFFER from HH bad enough then. Some people will go through any extent of pain if it ment not sweating anymore. Some people are here to help others and obviously this stuff (or Driclor) HAS worked for many with severe HH, so INSTEAD of knocking the post, the OP, or others who say it has worked- TRY it, if it burns THEN decide if you want to tolerate it. Its $5 bucks.

I personally had the burning with Driclor and with AF I didn't... That was the only difference to me and it's possible that my underarms were not completely dry when I applied the Driclor or something similar, resulting in the irritation. I have read though you can apply Cortisol Cream or whatever to your underarm to reduce the irritation. If I would have known nothing would work for me when my Doc gave me Driclor the first time, I would have sucked up the pain and went through with it. In my own stupidity, I figured there has to be a less painful method out there. Luckily AF was that 'alternative' method however even if it did burn, I would do whatever it took IF I KNEW 100% it would stop my sweating... which now- I am pretty sure I can contend to.

UPDATE:
It's been a couple weeks now, still COMPLETELY dry.
I wanted to find out how long I could go without applying AF to my underarms before I would start sweating again. Last time I applied was Wednesday night (2/18/09) and Today is the first sign of sweat, Monday (2/23/09). In the meantime I wore normal Anti-Persperant/Deoderant. I was in the Gym for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours Thurs, Fri, and Sat with NO underarms sweat. Sunday I kind of felt like my underarms had a slight 'mistiness' to them but appeared to be dry. Today at about 9:30 I noticed small sweat spots, still greatly reduced from my normal puddle by now. I will be applying again tonight. Looks like I can go about 4-5 days without applying. So, to be sure I will not get irritation or chafed underarms, I will apply once every 3 nights, maybe 4.

I cant believe people are assuming that we are hard selling this stuff in someway. Playneasy your advise on this stuff helped me find my solution and I thank you.

These forums are for suffers seeking advise from suffers. So let us help in whatever way we can. I'm English and u can clearly see in the way I use words i'm no yank. So unless you've got words of encouragement for people in desperate positions. Hop it!!

MY UPDATE: used for 2 nights over the weekend of 21st Feb 09 I haven't felt the need to use it again. In that time i've been to the gym twice and played a football (soccer) match plus footie training. Today on the evening of the 25th feb 09 still NO sweat, not a drop. I'm going to apply thinly tonight coz from research I think AF has a good 4 days effect before wearing off. When I'm more confident that this is going to last I might stop using it till it wears off and see how long that takes.:D

Yeah. Its a forum. Its a forum with a lot of desperate people. I encourage everybody here to try anything and everything before taking drastic measures like ETS. That said, things that aren't miracle cures shouldn't be made out to be, AF is just another anti-perspirant, 99% the same as all the rest, it works for some and it doesn't work for others, which is exactly why I don't like the idea of massive posts devoted to how well this stuff works.

If it worked for you, great, lots of these antiperspirants work for different people, but don't kid people into thinking they've finally found the perfect cure, and don't get angry at us when we say otherwise.
