Trying to break down the whole finding a job + interview into manageable steps

Hey everyone! I recently got into SA group therapy and I can't wait until the next session to ask for help so I am posting it here. I'm having some troubles with breaking down the whole finding a job and interviews into manageable steps. I am writing up a hierarchy so that I can use it as my basis for my exposure exercises.

Here are some things that I brainstormed:

- practice saying "May I speak to your manager?"
- go to places that I am interested in working for
- saying hello
- saying goodbye
- eye contact
- handshake
- saying thank you

They are not in any particular order but just things that are of concern to me that cause me anxiety. Any ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You want to know how I got these scars?
Acknowledge that in a new workplace you can feel like the outsider for some time. The best way to change this is to work hard and smart, and be friendly and approachable.

Another good point is don't be shy about asking for help or advice.

Yea I've been thinking about that a lot, feeling like an outsider. I should add as well to speak louder since I usually have the habit of speaking softly when spoken to. I won't be able to attempt this stuff on this list until later on. I'm still working on smaller goals with other hierarchies to build up to doing this one.
