Try to do 1 thing today..

In therapy they allways tell you to get rid of your fears you have to face them! 8O So I suggest we try to do at least one thing today that has to do w/our fears. Taking any step in the right direction is better than taking no step at all, even if it is a baby step. We are all at different stages of this thing and for some of us it might be sticking your head outside even if it is for just a second. And tomorrow maybe stick a foot outside..
it might sound silly but anything is better than nothing. Do what you can even if it is something small and tell everyone on here about it, be proud of whatever it is you can do.
My one thing today is going to be going to church and going up to the altar. My church has a membership of about 2-4 thousand on a good day!
And they are a rowdy bunch! LOL.
It makes me nervous just thinking about it, but as I do it, I will be thinking of all of you on here and that will encourage me and give me strength. And while I'm up there I may as well pray for all of us too!

Great thread!

Today I went to college and got the college bus there and service bus home (cos my classes finished at lunch time today) and I spoke in class, they're all things I do quite often, but it's still sometimes quite stressful, especially as college started back up yesterday after the Easter holidays and I always get nervous after time off college.

Hm I've joined amnesty youth at my school, so tomorrow night I'm going to sell cake and coffee at a theater event at school. I'm kind of nervous about it since I'm not so good at doing math without a calculator and I don't know the people there very well 8O

Congratulations to all of you! You are much braver than me! Well I just wanted to say that I did go to church even though I was nervous and also went to the altar! 8O I almost chickened out but remembered that the point is to do something that causes you fear, to step out of the comfort zone a little, so I did it! Yay!
church was good, by the way. The sermon was on "brokenness". I was thinking to myself, "Well..I'm broken..i'm broken! I can't wait to be put back together now!" LOL.
And I did pray for everyone on here while at the altar, I asked God to help us and not to forget about us! :D
Now today I have to come up with something new to do, My 1 thing, I think I will make it something small seeing as how I did a big one yesterday! I think I will go outside and check my mailbox and if I see anyone I will say hello and smile! Hey little things count too..

Well done! And yes little things count too, can't have massive achievements everyday, you'd max out your fear limits  !

I'm going to go for a walk with my boyfriend later, just a little thing, but it keeps me out and about :D
