Tie in with depression

So I made a post in the depression forum but it sort of ties in with SA so I will make a post here too, and link them: http://www.socialphobiaworld.com/tie-in-with-sa-21555/#post214939

So tonight is another night in which my SA is holding me back. Of course it is Halloween and everyone is off having fun, of course not everyone, but it seems so. And I am in my cube of a room doing nothing. Why can't I be more outgoing, etc. I have a few friends, but right now two are drunk and downtown, I don't drink. And one left to hang with a girl, which I don't blame him, she is hot. But it leaves me alone again.

Read the depression link for more data on the night.

Maybe you can get a hobby? There's nothing wrong with being alone. But if you are lonely, then one way to avoid ruminating about it is to have something you really really enjoy doing and is solo activity?

I wish, but the things I like cost alot. Such as making crazy projects like massive touch screens etc. I read, but when depressed I dont like to, and I have gotten tired of computer stuff, I have learned way to much about them.

Have you tried hard exercise? Or basketball or things like that? Sports? Take up art, poetry... etc? Hmm... you sound talented with the pc, maybe learn CG if you already have not.

I cant get motivated for sports, and I am not creative enough for art etc, or talented, I have tried. As for the computer I have tried cg, audio editing/making, programming, modding, repairing, destroying, gaming, image making/editing, code making, even learned ascii/hex/binary basically anything u can do. Even making a game at the moment, though it has slowed, need artist :p.

I love learning, and it is what I do, but I get un-motivated alot and so I stop.

Well, you can find what you like and do it. Doesn't need to be that productive. You have a very large skill set in terms of tech and pc. May I recommend a site? You can 'recruit' artists there for free if you're lucky. Game Maker Community (Powered by Invision Power Board) They use a custom programming language. Or just any of the game making communities, plenty of artists and musicians willing to work for free. The samples I've seen and heard are pretty good.

What game is it btw? Require high level graphics? 2D, 2.5D or 3D?

Yea been recruiting from many sites. The game is a play on worms, called slugs, with new features etc. The website is here: Slugs
