I live in an apartment inside a large building, so in order to reach the streets I have to take a lift (elevator?) which is shared by all other aprtments at same floor. If someone decides to go out at the same time as I do, we will have to wait for the lift toghether, and then take it and be squeeezed togheter inside it (it is a very small one) for a bit less than a minute.
The whole thing is very annoying so as I open the door I always listen if there are noises of people waiting at the lift platform, and if there are any I go back inside to pick up something that I have certainly forgotten...
