"theres a lot more good people than bad people" these are not my words, these words are from the mother of jamie bulger (r.i.p)

since joining here ive learned so much from you guys :)

if jamie bulger's mum can say those words, after all that she went through, then maybe we can too.

i couldnt even imagine how that would feel

i have no right to sit here and feel sorry for myself.

I think that a lot of the good people are hiding, so it seems that there are more bad people than good people, at least where I live.

I agree, when you think about terrible things like this that happen it really puts things into perspective. It’s amazing that Jamie’s mum has the strength to say that after what happened to her little boy. I think if that happened to my child it would definitely send me on a downward spiral. It’s true what they say.. always somebody else worse off. I always try to remember how lucky I am, sometimes it’s hard but others have it harder.

Even if there was just one single good person in the world, the existance of all the evil in the world would be worth it in exchange for the coexistance of that one compassionate person. I confess I stole the idea from God though. There's a Bible story to go along with it, its just all foggy in my memory now. you know, city of sodom, it was a big awful evil place (like all cities) that God wanted to destroy, but Abraham clarified that if there were just five or ten good people in that city then God would have spared the city. guess there weren't enough cause that place was blown to bits minus Lot's family. Evidently many evil people are worth putting up with in exchange for the radiance of a few good ones. you have to forgive me for any biblical trivia mistakes, I'm catholic, we're not even supposed to know about the bible. so there is a variation of what the previous guy said with nine words. now that's verbosity. go redundancy! its a happy thought.
