Wow, that's pretty harsh. Getting dumped for hyperhidrosis? You don't need her anyway man. That's a pretty shallow reason to break up with somebody.

Have you tried the following?

1. A deodorant with a high aluminum chloride level (on your hands)?
2. Drysol (prescription deodorant)?
3. Changing your diet?
4. Using Iontophoresis treatments?
5. Botox injections?
6. Tannin Tea solutions?

Best of Luck!

A little drug cocktail I take daily consisting of klonopin and propranolol actually takes care of my sweaty palms. I don't recommend benzodiazepines, though, they're addictive little fuckers and if I ever happen to run out a couple days early my hands sweat a lot (withdrawals can be a problem after just two weeks of persistent use). I never tried any deodorants or anything, the benzos cleared that problem up pretty well...

Peace

This is just a side note but when I would drink socially I found that my clammy hands would subside.

I'm not encouraging you to take up a drinking habit, but you may find that this relieves palmar hyperhidrosis in social party situations.

Anyone else relate to this behavior?

Did she actually come out and say she dumped you cause your hands sweat?

I am seriously doubting that. People get dumped all the time and I'm really doubting this was the cause.

Ive noticed that. Im guessing because the alcohol loosens you up and calms you down, therefore you're less anxious and dont sweat as much

yeah alcohol does the same to me, alcohol is a nervous system depressant and has gaba effects like benzos proably why drinking alcohol with benzos increases the effects of alcohol

Yeah, I have found alcohol reduces my sweating, I made a topic about it.

Yeah, the alcohol thing works for me too, to some extend...It's the same for many, although a few say it makes them sweat even more...Maybe they're not drinking enough :D (disclaimer; kids, drinking too much alcohol doesn't make you more cool)

Anyway, it would be nice if some researches took some time to look into these kinds of things as they might give a clue about what's happening with, HH.

try iontophoresis, i used to be in the same situation as you, i told my girlfriend about it but she understood. However, it still bothered me nonetheless, i was rly skeptical about iontophoresis at first cuz I thought my condition was untreatable, oh my was i wrong. I bought Idromed 5 GS a month ago and it only took 8 sessions at 18amps, now my hands are completely dry even when i play sports. You should definitely try it, it works wonders.
