Connect run workshops which help you deal with SP. They also have a support group, we like to call skills group. Connect is run by volunteers who are dealing with sp themselves or have done in the past. They understand! Call on thursday between 10.30 and 2 ask for Liz. Just tell her that you heard about connect on this site and you would like to know more. She is easy to talk to.
hope this info helps!!

Hey funnyman, have you found an improvement in your life since seeking the help of 'connect'? What have you done so far? I am about to join.

Its been a huge help to me. Its great to talk with people who understand. I have been doing volunteer work for a long time now and it has helped me alot. My main problem with sp is work and I feel ready now to take on any job that comes my way. Connect has played a part in the improvement of my confidence.

I finally called today, found out that there is a lack of interest for an upcoming workshop. :(

I was told that I could come along to the next skills group, kinda scared though.

I think that its more that there aren't enough people wanting to do a work shop at the moment. Anyway its ok to be a bit scared, that feeling wont last.
