I have taken it before in the past. It really helped me with my depression but I like 5 HTP much better though. 5 HTP helps me a lot with brain fog, mood swing, and spacing out for me. Only thing about 5 HTP is that you have to take it with empty stomach and have to take it often; otherwise, it loses it's effect.
I also found that apple cider vinegar with honey helps with digestion and brain fog as well.
