Man, that stuff does not mix with SA and will only make you feel worse in the long term. You just have to stop using it as much as you may like the short term kick.

you are gonna make yourself far worse (by a long way) if you take speed, it causes anxiety and depression in 'normals' so what chance do you stand if you already suffer that.

please stop!

as for drinking, dont rely on it to curb the affects of SA too much, I know we all do it

you been doing speed for 4 days in a row?, man you sure got some money to spend. Anyways i dont reccomend doing speed for more than one whole day for physical reasons., i dont reccomend doin speed at all but i do it from time to time.
I suggest you spend your comedown in your bed staring at the wall and knowing your mind will come back gradually as the drug takes off your body. this way you wont get any more physical tiredness common in the speed comedows. Alcohol can help, but it also contributes to give more stress to your hearth, just as Cocaine, Meth, Ritalin, wathever u shooted. did. Just remember the comedown will pass within some hours. Rest and don't do speed for 4 days!

I agree with Remus, taking speed if you have SA is sheer stupidity (well it is even if you are normal), I wouldnt be giving sympathy to anyone who knew the consequencies and still did it.

not wise

There is a reason many people who do speen and crack and coke and so on look like they are 45 years old but are really only 25. It is not something I'd recommend at all.

On top of that, doing too much of it could cause heart attacks and various other problems..

Stay away. That is my advice. Just stay away.

What you feel when you're on speed - that's what you're taking away from yourself every time you do it. When you feel like dog shit afterwards, that's the direction you're heading in. You'll feel like you need it more and more. This is the rule of thumb for a lot of drugs. Speed has permanent effects and it's more addictive than most people realize. It continues to do damage for 18 months after you do it and it has an addictive influence over you for many months.

Nobody who does is fully aware of how bad it is. They might understand on an intellectual level, but that's not true awareness. If it was that easy, I could read up on SA and be cured. It's the same idea. The part of you that wants it takes over the part that knows better. You can't gain this awareness without staying off of it for a long time, but even then, if you have an addictive personality, the only way you'll really be able to stay off is by staying away from it - changing your friends, where you go, etc. You don't want to have it come to that. Go to an NA (Narcotics Anonymous) meeting if you doubt this.

It's awareness, not stupidity. It affects people from all walks of life. If it's not speed, then it's something else. Everyone lacks awareness in some areas of their life and sabotages themselves as a result.

Hi Paul,

I go to meditation/yoga classes. The place I go to offers classes for free and it is right in a drug hotspot. They tell me that they get quite a few drug addicts who go there to help them get off their drug.

You seem to have a good ability to give up speed, so I don't mean to imply that you are addicted. But because giving-up any drug takes such a strong degree of strength for anybody, if you wanted an extra edge you could consider taking-up meditation.

Meditation is almost like a natural drug. ....I have read something about possible side-effects with it even! -But these must occur rarely, since meditation is widely practised.

Anyhow, that's just a suggestion. ...and it's actually, I think, a good suggestion for anyone trying to overcome an emotional difficulty or illness.

Meditation is totally underrated, but there's a reason for that. Normally it takes years to learn how to do it correctly. 10-15 years is not unusual. I'm sure the learning process still has a lot of benefits because you're learning to clear your mind, and that can only be a good thing.

There's a way around that though. About 13 years ago someone figured out that you can stimulate the brain to generate the same low frequency waves that you see in experienced meditators when they're in a meditative state. It's a system of CDs that you listen to with headphones. I've been using it for about 3 years and it's the best thing I ever did.

One of it's benefits is making you less susceptible to addiction. I chewed tobacco for a long time and after a few months of this meditation, it was easy to give up. But that's only a small part of it. Ultimately, it gives you awareness. One type of awareness is how you go about creating results in your life.

Indirectly, awareness does a lot of things. You might thing it would be painful somethimes. Temporarily, it can be, but it's always to your advantage in the long run. You'll be more resilient, you won't get discouraged as easily, you won't get as stressed, you'll gain more control over your mind, you're outlook on life will improve, you won't be as anxious, in social situations, you'll begin to see what's really there and that's the key to being social - really "being there." Whether you socialize or not, you'll eventually feel more connected to people. It's up to you how fast you progress, but one way or another, this will take you a long way.

It's not a quick fix, but you'll probably notice small things early on. Some people experience significant shifts early on. It depends on how deep your issues are. Literally, how deep they are within your subconscious. The process goes for about 10 years. Almost 200,000 people have done it, but still few people have heard of it and it's a shame. I try to tell anyone who might be interested. Most people think they've got it together but none of them realize just how unconscious their lives are and how little choice they really have in their lives because of it.

SA people especially have a lot to gain from this. All of the fear and the defense mechanisms we've built up over the years - these are all unconscious, which is the only reason it has control over us. You probably know - that's the way the unconscious works. It only has power over you because you're not aware of it.

Stick with this and it will definately change your life. You can read about it at http://www.centerpointe.com

If you doubt what I'm saying, go ahead and challenge me on it. They have an affiliate program, which means I could give you a URL that when you click on it, I get credit for sending you there, so if you buy a CD, I get a commission on the sale. I never use it though because I don't want people to think I'm only telling them about it so I can get some benefit from it. If you knew about something like this, you'd be telling people about it yourself. But if you have doubts, go ahead and challenge me on it, but don't ignore it. Otherwise, it's easy to see that the price you pay for this is nothing compared to what it buys you. You can get a free demo CD sent to you and it's a very reputable company so they'll honor their money back guarantee. If any of you saw the TV special "The Secret", the founder Bill Harris was one of the speakers on that show.

Hi tbaker,

I was really impressed by some of the things that you said: you explained things really clearly. ...what you wrote about the subconcious having power over us only because we are not aware of it -I really liked this way of putting things.

I looked up centrepointe's site and although I am still a little skeptical, I figured to try to free CD, just to see if it does anything. ...I figure: why not?!
...It is interesting though, those facts about Alpha, Beta, Theta and Delta waves; and about new connections being created in the brain between the right and left hemispheres, etc. ...It makes you wonder about how our minds work.

I'm glad that helped. As you know, meditation is nothing new and it's been proven over thousands of years. You can search for meditation benefits and hear about hundreds of them.

That only leaves the technology in question. When this came out, it was a new idea. But at this point, it's a well known process. You might have even heard of it. It's called binaural beats.

Wikipedia even has an entry on it:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_beats and they mention Centerpointe and Holosync.

Most people don't know much if anything about meditation or binaural beats, and I suppose this sort of personal growth isn't easy to measure in scientific terms, especially since it doesn't happen overnight. Yet studies have been done on long term meditators that show how their brainwaves have changed in their frequency and how they are balanced from left to right.

Like the site probably mentioned, everyone's experience is different. I felt a type of relaxation, or more of a quitetness in my head after the first time, but a friend of mine felt nothing. Eventually though, you will feel it and you'll know for sure.
