I'll be doing informative speech on social anxiety disorder in 2 days, was wondering if you someone could suggest topics I could talk about and maybe a kick ass attention getter?
Here is what I have so far:
Attention Getter: (relate to the audience)
We’ve all felt nervous or self-conscious on some occasions, like when giving a speech, interviewing for a new job or asking someone out on a date.
Reveal Topic:
But social anxiety disorder, also known as social phobia, is more than just shyness or occasional nerves.
Establish Credibility and Good Will:
In the United States, epidemiological studies have recently revealed that social anxiety disorder as the third largest psychological disorder in the country, after depression and alcoholism. It is estimated that 7-8% of the population suffers from some form of social anxiety at the present time.
