Spartacus the new series

There is a tv series called Spartacus Blood and Sand.Anyone watching it?,I think it's been out in the states for a while,and it's just started up in the UK.

I thought the first episode was so cheesy,but I carried on watching anyway and now I'm hooked.Sometimes you feel like you are watching a cheesy soft porn with the amount of naked women they have in it.

You get very stereo typical predictable characters,but the series finds ways of turning these stereo types on there heads and making you suddenly care about the guy you thought was scum in the last episode.Which I find really refreshing.

Oh and the action scenes are kick ass too

Yeah it looks pretty good, I think I'm gonna watch the first episode on catch up TV.

You might be disappointed with the first episode,but it's worth sticking with imo

I find that with quite a few series though, takes a while for the programme to get "up and running" so I'll give it a bash anyway

Yeah true most programs do need to set the plot and take a while to get going,lemme know what you think though

It does take a lot of influence from 300,it blatantly copies the way the gore was done in 300...but to be fair 300 owed a lot to films itself like Sin city and many others.

It's more similar to gladiator than 300 though,and the well written story (once you get past the first couple of episodes) helps it stand on it's own merits imo.
