I was so bored at work today i wrote some poems, i'm nervous about posting them but here goes -
Within these walls
No joy but pain i feel,
within these walls of steel,
deep inside the fortress i dwell,
unable to break out of my shell.
Voices i hear so distant,
laughter chimes like church bells,
sorrow is all i feel,
within these walls of steel.
The days so long and lonesome,
my thoughts so tiresome,
lord give me salvation,
break down these walls of steel.
Show me the way to your heart
Her beauty i can't ignore,
a ray of sunshine through dark clouds,
a strength she does give,
to my empty heart.
Her eyes, windows to her soul,
drawn i am, lost in her gaze,
her smile, brighter than a thousand stars,
gives hope in my heart.
So far she dwells, yet so near to my heart,
Her voice, a sweet trickling river,
Show me the way to her heart.
Release the pain
Alone in his room,
thoughts are his only friend,
climbing the walls,
his thoughts become his foe.
Across skin he drags the blade,
the only way to release the pain,
so good it feels, the burning pain,
blood trickles down like warm rain.
No friends, no love it seems,
only his thoughts and blade,
alas he cuts a vein,
never to breathe life again.
How was anyone to know?
Hidden were his scars from show,
if only he would have known,
his blade was not his only friend.
This world has no place for me
The mirror lies yet i believe,
this world has no place for me,
everyone seems so different,
better, prettier, funnier.
So sick of people prodding,
poking fun,
if only i could run, afar from this world,
this world has no place for me.
Food i banish, my enemy,
counting every bite i eat,
can't let it win,
this battle over me.
Overnight my bones appear,
skin and bone is all i am,
no strength to walk, talk o'r laugh,
this world has no place for me.

Black you were as the night sky,
eyes green as emeralds,
purring contently on my knee,
you would show me love.
Whenever i was down
you would lift me up,
claws sharp yet reassuring,
how i long for your love again.
So sad i was that night,
you passed on, my tears would not stop,
i hope you are waiting in heaven,
for one day we will be reunited.
