Smoking OCD

I have an ocd problem with cigarettes. If I smoke a cigarette and then think the wrong thought, like something violent immediately after I smoke a cigarette, then I tell myself I have to immediately smoke another one. Or if I listen to the "wrong song." Or think the "wrong thing," I tell myself I have to immediately smoke another cigarette. And this leads to be smoking sometimes a half a pack a day. I smoke even though I don't want to smoke because I can't let the ocd thought fester in my mind. Can anybody else relate to this and if so can you give me some advice on a way not to complete the compulsion of smoking a cigarette. Even if you don't have this problem can you give me some advice on a way around it. I'd really appreciate it.

That's really odd, I've never heard of it..

I have a friend who smokes, and your post makes me look at it in a different way... (She may have had some OCD in different ways..)

Some people on another OCD forum have found omega3 helpful, or CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy)/ERP (exposure response prevention).
Not sure how they could be applied in your situation, might be worth a look though.
