sinus headache

I seem to get pressure feelings on my temples, cheeckbones and sometimes nose bridge and gums. The pain varies from very faint but annoying to quite painfull, and still annoying. I seem to get this rather than normal headaches. Its usualy on one side of the face, sometimes right sometimes left, sometimes both. I wondered if its a sinus infection, but thought why would it last that long, and i dont feel like i have a cold, although it does get worse usualy when i do have a cold. But i was wondering if it could be due to anxiety or stress. I do seem to get it more after long days at college or stressful social situations. But sometimes for no aparent reason. What do you think about this?
Thanks

It could be a sinus headache... I get them a lot. But it could also be from anxiety &/or stress. I used to get (& still sometimes do) migraines from stress & anxiety.

A sinus headache is a headache that occurs when the sinuses become congested. The sinuses are the bony, air-filled cavities in the head that connect to the nose through small openings. During a cold or allergy attack, the openings can become blocked by excess mucus and may become infected.I also used to get migraines from stress & anxiety.

Yeah i'd say its definately anxiety. My whole left body feels that way. Especially my head and face around the jaw/ear area.

thanks for all your replies about it. I'm guessing its a migraine type thing caused by anxiety that just happens to cause the pressure in those areas then.

I take Tramadol for headaches but 2 Tylenol Ultras mixed with 2 Advils work just as well.

I'll check those out. I usually take Anadin Extra when it gets bad enough and after an hour or so its totally gone, and I actually feel good in general. I have to be careful though and not take them just to feel generally better.
