Silliest avoidance strategy ever

I'm sorry to hear about that excruciating ordeal, JMZ. The good thing about it is, though, that you can kind of just write that girl off as being an asshole.

A normal person would never do something like that, just barging into someone else's house. She's not worth stressing over, it definitely was she who was in the wrong, her and her sister sounded pretty obnoxious to me.

I have so many stories:

In my 5th grade graduation when the whole class started dancing, I was the only one sitting down. Then a group of girls came and tried to pull me into the dance floor. It was a tug of war between them and me for a whole minute and I couldn't look at them in the face for the rest of the year out of embarrassment.

When I felt really anxious about going to a place I would tell my parents or my friends I had diarrhea and spend hours in the bathroom in order to fool them.

Whenever I was with my friends, I would fake a conversation with my parents through my cell in order to get out of there.

I had hemorrhoids on my senior year, so I would fake extreme pain in order to stay home. I stayed housebound for about 3 months. The gastroenterologist thought it was colon cancer which made my parents worry sick.

Somebody rear ended me last week and I was too anxious to get out of the car so I kept on driving. There was no damage to my car btw.

And whenever my parents have somebody over I hide in my room.

I know!! I would never walk into someones home like that..To this day I cant believe she did it..maybe cos my brother told her to go in or something...I'm not sure though..He didn't show up until like 30mins after her tho o_O

Oh and as to that Blind comment I can so totally relate too that..When I was younger and actually had friends..If I was sleeping or something and didnt answer the door..they would actually go around back to the bedroom I was in and just knock on the window....grrrrrr

ALSO I had another friend growing up who would like just come over unannounced O.O..I swear like one xmas I told him he could sleep over my house the next christmas(not actually thinking he would remember a year from now!!) and OMG I hadn't talked to him in like almost a year...cos this was right around the time I started to recluse...ANYWAYS wouldnt ya know it..He actually came over..Unannounced ON christmas Day..with his change of clothes and all..His mom dropped him off..This was when i was 16 or 17 or so...

My friends came over unannounced all the time. It threw me into a panic every time it happened. Never had them just randomly come by to sleep over, though. That seems so weird.

Me too. One time I ran over a big block of wood in the road, which blew my tire, and I was too anxious to pull over so I drove the rest of the way with one tire completely shredded (didn't realize it was shredded til I parked). Thank goodness I was only on the road for about 1 minute after I hit that wood.

One time when my cousin from up in Michigan came down to visit (and I had like never met him before) & him & his dad were going to spend the night & so everyone was chatting in the living room & of course I wasn't really. So later when I was in my room my cousin comes & knocks on my door wanting to talk to me, so I was totally feeling awkward & phobic said that it was kind of late & we'd talk tomorrow.

And I was snacking on chips & salsa or whatever in my room & I was so embaressed that I decided to leave the salsa bowl & a plate in my room & put them under my bed because I couldn't bare the idea of going into the kitchen & pass the loving room where he was.

*Sigh*

That's not so bad, I've done stuff like that a million times, don't beat yourself up over it.

I used to hang it out the second story window at night because I was too anxious to walk down the hall past my brother's friends and go to the bathroom and pee.

:D

I applaud you for even thinking about coming out of your room  If it was me ..even If I had no plate I still wouldn't come out lol.. I would probably come down with some sort of made up sickness..*cough cough*

I laughed extra hard at that last post because I'm sitting here listening to that song "Jars" by Chevelle.

McDonald's cup/Jars? I thought it was funny. :D

Ahh... sweet, sweet social phobia and the things we have to do to get by.

Luckily my bathroom is right next to my room :D So, I haven't peed in a cup.

But I've had to hold it a couple of times at my old house.

hehe well for me..I take the long/unpopulated route to go pick up my mom from work or go to the store just so I can avoid being seen around town..and I know it's a waist of gas but it's much safer for me lol
