I don't understand how people can talk about me when I'm about 5 feet away from them and assure themselves that I can't hear what their saying about me. Do they think that because I'm shy, I'm deaf?
Kinetik said:I guess it's a form of bullying really, where they know you can hear them and continue anyway, indirectly issuing a challenge because they know it's unlikely you'll call them on it. If you're still in school (which I'm guessing you are) then I do feel bad for you, it's utter crap having to go through things like this. So petty. If it's any consolation, once you get older, things get a bit easier in that people are slightly more polite/understanding with regards to a person who has social difficulties. It doesn't mean you won't have awkward moments and such, but it's not quite as snide or cruel. I couldn't wait to graduate and I imagine you must be feeling the same way. Good luck with everything.
