Sharing your favourite things

Has this ever happened to anyone before ?
Your really excited about a new film you've just seen (or an old favourite) and you want to share it with a friend, so you put it on and your friend doesn't like. They dislike it so much they start to make comments on how bad it is and YOU start to feel embaressed and stupid.
I know different people like different things and everyone is entitled to thier opinion, i just can't help it. Everytime it happens i start to go red and i feel more and more stupid for putting it on it the first place. I know whoever is saying these things isnt aiming them at me it just happens. I wonder if its just a case of me being too over enthusiastic about something and being too protective of it.
Im the same with books too, so i don't like to recomend things to people just incase they don't like them.

Yeah, it's the SA in me. I really want people to like me and I take it too personally if I show them something and they just rag on it. I start thinking they're making those comments about me or something.

But on the other hand, I think everybody gets that feeling to some degree. Just not as bad as us.

Yes! I know what you mean. It's the reason why I was paranoid and scared about people knowing about my taste in music before.
