Set an intention

Set a small goal that pushes you out of your comfort zone slightly. For example, when I first started doing this I set an intention to walk through a crowded town center. I kept the journey short so as not to cause too much distress and then rewarded myself after I did it.

Set an intention that you will be surprized at how easy it is and how you are feeling so much more relaxed doing the thing you thought would be so bad. Imagine the positive outcome and really FEEL how good it will feel after you have done it.

Intending a positive outcome creates an EXPECTATION in your subconscious mind that it WILL happen. You may surprize yourself at how powerful this can be.

I think that I'm going to hang out with friends this weekend
but I don't know... there's this festival thing and it's going to be pretty crowded so I'm a little bit worried
